Oddballs: Purple Snow

This comic may seem anecdotal, yet can you remember the plot of “Purple Rain”? I think I watched that movie once back when it came out and only remember the music. And think about it, have you ever heard anyone tell you, “You should watch ‘Purple Rain”!” I doubt it. At the same time, everyone knows the songs.

Oddballs: Children’s Books for One-Percenter Kids

I used to read “Richie Rich” when I was a kid. Back then (70s and 80s), we had a different view on wealth – it was inaccessible to pretty much all of us so it was something of a trope in entertainment (e.g., “Trading Places,” “Silver Spoons,” “Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous,” etc.). It was like watching movies about aliens or Bigfoot; fantastical stuff of fiction.

These days, with the advent of the internet, it seems as though becoming a millionaire is only a click away (as the shysters would have you believe). And, since becoming filthy rich is deemed as accessible yet the vast majority of folks don’t achieve such status, there’s animosity towards those who have.

I don’t buy into that (no pun intended). We can still laugh at the rich without hating them. After all, wouldn’t we all like to laugh all the way to the bank one day?

Oddballs: Raccoon in a Tube

I found these mazes on Creative Fabrica. It would be great if I could make the maze myself – and I’d love to – yet, time is a scarce resource and these little mazes work well. At least I think they do. The raccoon seems to like it.

“Girl With A Flower In Her Hair”

I love meeting girls with flowers in their hair. They don’t get mad when I compliment them on it. Probably because it’s a safe compliment. Obviously, the girl thinks it’s a pretty flower or she wouldn’t have it in her hair. And it’s next to her face so she knows you’re not noticing her clothing just as an excuse to check out her body.

“Woman Who Wears A Cape At Home For Fun”

I have found that many a woman enjoys wearing a cape. One woman I know likes to wear it around the house for fun. Another girl I met wore one almost like a cloak on a cold day. Hers was green. And don’t forget all the cosplay ladies.

Yep, they love their capes.
